Our approach
At Mythoswin we want every visit to Olympus to stay fun. That means giving you clear, easy-to-use tools, setting sensible limits by default, and stepping in when we see signs that gambling may be causing harm.
Our team is trained to spot changes in play, such as rising deposits, longer sessions or repeated cancelled withdrawals. If we have concerns, we may get in touch, ask about affordability, apply restrictions or, in some cases, close your account. We do this to protect you, and you can always talk to us about it through support, available 24/7.
Warning signs to look out for
Ask yourself honestly whether any of these apply to you:
- Spending more money or time gambling than you intended
- Chasing losses — trying to win back money you have lost
- Borrowing money, or selling things, to gamble
- Gambling to escape stress, boredom, loneliness or low mood
- Feeling anxious, irritable or guilty about your gambling
- Hiding your gambling from family or friends, or lying about it
- Neglecting work, study, family or other responsibilities
- Thinking about gambling constantly, or finding it hard to stop
If one or more feels familiar, it may be time to use the tools below or speak to one of the organisations listed further down. Seeking help early makes a real difference.
Safer-gambling tools
| Tool | What it does | How to set it |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limits | Caps how much you can deposit per day, week or month | Account → Safer Gambling → Deposit limits. Decreases apply instantly; increases only after a cooling-off period |
| Loss limits | Caps your net losses over a chosen period | Account → Safer Gambling → Loss limits |
| Reality checks | On-screen reminders showing how long you have been playing and your net position | Account → Safer Gambling → Reality checks; choose the reminder interval |
| Time-out | Blocks access to your account for 24 hours up to 6 weeks | Account → Safer Gambling → Take a break, or ask live chat |
| Self-exclusion | Closes your account for 6 months up to 5 years; it cannot be reversed during that period | Account → Safer Gambling → Self-exclusion, or ask live chat |
| GAMSTOP | Excludes you from all UK-licensed online gambling sites at once, for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years | Register free at gamstop.co.uk |
| Account history | Shows every deposit, withdrawal and bet so you can review your spending | Account → History |
While you are on a time-out or self-excluded, you will not receive any marketing from Mythoswin. Mythoswin participates in GAMSTOP, so if you register with the scheme your account is blocked automatically.
UK stake limits and game design
Online slots are subject to UK stake limits: a maximum of £5 per spin, or £2 per spin if you are aged 18–24. Slots run at a minimum spin speed of 2.5 seconds, with no autoplay and no turbo or quick-spin features, and feature purchase options are not available. These rules are designed to slow play down and help you stay in control.
Bonus wagering at Mythoswin is capped at 10x, and you can decline any bonus if you prefer to play without one. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.
Age verification and underage protection
You must be 18 or over to gamble. We verify every player’s age and identity before they can deposit or play. Anyone found to be under 18 will have their account closed, and any winnings voided.
If you share a device with children or young people, we recommend:
- Never leaving your account logged in or saving your password on a shared device
- Using separate user profiles on computers and tablets
- Installing parental control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio or the built-in controls on iOS, Android, Windows and macOS
Where to get help
These organisations offer free, confidential support across Great Britain:
- BeGambleAware — information, self-assessment tools and a directory of treatment services: begambleaware.org
- GamCare — advice, live chat and counselling: gamcare.org.uk. GamCare runs the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, free and open 24/7.
- GAMSTOP — free national online self-exclusion scheme: gamstop.co.uk
- Gordon Moody — residential and online treatment programmes for people affected by gambling harm: gordonmoody.org.uk
- Gamblers Anonymous UK — peer support meetings across the country and online: gamblersanonymous.org.uk
Blocking software
Gambling blocking software adds an extra layer of protection by stopping gambling sites and apps loading on your devices. Tools such as Gamban, BetBlocker and GamBlock can be installed on phones, tablets and computers. Many UK banks also let you block gambling transactions on your debit card from within their app — check with your bank.
Support for affected others
Gambling harm affects family members, partners, friends and colleagues too. If someone close to you is struggling, you are not alone. GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline support affected others, and Gordon Moody and BeGambleAware offer resources specifically for families. Looking after your own wellbeing is just as important as helping the person you are worried about.
If you have any questions about the tools on this page, or want us to apply a limit or exclusion on your behalf, contact Mythoswin through support at any time. For complaints, see our complaints page.
